The Senegal-American hip hop and R&B artist, Akon has once again taken great strides to empower Africa. Since 2007 Akon has participated in events like Peace one day and worked with organizations like the Konfidence foundation to focus on empowering the citizens of Africa psychologically, socially, and economically. After working with these organizations Akon is dedicating his time to his organization Akon lighting Africa (ALA), his efforts are to empower the continent through power itself... solar panels that is.
The Club Viva Tour release party lit up Rumbo Studio’s in Canoga Park with the launch of Viva Doll’s new single “Boom Boom,” to a sold-out crowd at the studio built by Daryl Dragon of “Captain & Tennille,” a famous duo from the 70’s era. A star-studded red carpet with at least eight different acts left attendees magnetized.

Entertainment and Music have always been a way to not only relate but also to give a voice to the people.
